Refund Policy - Pay High Risk

Refund Policy

When we give the money back, and how to ask.

We sell plugin licences, and this page says when we give the money back. It is short on purpose: a refund policy that needs interpreting is a refund policy written against the buyer.

1. What this page covers

It covers the software licences sold from this website — the WordPress and WooCommerce plugins listed under our products.

It does not cover the high-risk payment assessment, the introduction service, or anything else we do for merchants, because we do not charge merchants for those. There is nothing there to refund. Our terms explain how we are paid instead.

2. Fourteen days, no reason needed

Ask within fourteen days of your purchase and we refund it in full. You do not have to justify the request, demonstrate a fault, or answer questions about why you changed your mind.

We would rather refund a licence than argue about whether software is “as described”. The argument costs both of us more than the licence is worth, and we would lose the customer anyway.

3. Thirty days if the payment provider would not take you

Our plugins connect a store to third-party payment providers. If you bought a licence, applied to the provider it connects to, and that provider would not onboard your business, the plugin is of no use to you — through no fault of yours.

In that case the window is thirty days from purchase. Tell us what happened and, if you have it, forward the provider’s decline. We do not need to see your documents.

This is the risk a buyer actually takes when they pay us, so it is the one we cover for longer. It does not make us responsible for the provider’s decision, and it is not a promise that they will accept you: our terms are explicit that a plugin licence is not a payment account.

4. What we do not refund

  • Requests after the window has closed. Fourteen days, or thirty in the case above, counted from the date of purchase.
  • A provider closing or suspending your account later. That is a decision taken by them, about your processing, after they had accepted you. It is not a defect in the software, and we have no part in it.
  • A change in your own plans — a site you decided not to launch, a business model you changed, a sector you left — once the window has passed.
  • A licence obtained through a chargeback rather than a request to us. See section 7.

We do not have hidden conditions beyond this list. If your case is not in it and you are inside the window, you are refunded.

5. How to ask, and how long it takes

Write to contact@payhighrisk.com from the email address you bought with, or quote your order number. That is the whole procedure — there is no form.

We reply within two business days. Where a refund is due, we issue it to the payment method you used, within ten business days of agreeing it. If that method can no longer receive a refund, we will agree another route with you; we do not use that as a reason not to pay.

6. What happens to the licence

A refunded licence ends. The right to use the software ends with it, and you should remove the plugin from your sites. We will not pursue anyone over an installation left behind by accident, but continuing to run a refunded plugin deliberately is using software you have been paid back for.

7. Chargebacks: ask us first

If something is wrong, write to us. A chargeback filed without a word to us is resolved by a card scheme reading two files, it takes months, and it reaches the same answer this page already gives you in two business days.

We say this as the people who spend their days explaining chargebacks to merchants. We are not going to fight you over a licence fee.

8. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK

Consumer law in the European Union and the United Kingdom gives you a fourteen-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase. For digital content delivered immediately, that right can be waived by the buyer at the point of download, and many sellers rely on that waiver.

We do not rely on it. The fourteen days in section 2 are given to every buyer, consumer or business, wherever they are. Nothing on this page reduces a right you have under the mandatory law of your own country.

9. Changes to this page

We may revise this policy. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you bought. This page was last revised on 9 September 2026, and it forms part of our terms of service.

Questions about a purchase, an invoice or a refund go to contact@payhighrisk.com. Questions about your personal data go to privacy@payhighrisk.com, and the privacy policy explains what we keep after a refund and for how long.

PayHighRisk assesses high-risk merchants — business model, jurisdiction, risk profile and processing requirements — and identifies which payment partners could realistically consider the file. We are not a payment gateway or a processor, and we never hold or move your money.
