About PayHighRisk
An independent merchant qualification and payment partner matching service. We assess your business and identify which payment partners could realistically consider it — nothing more, and nothing less.
What that means in practice
You tell us how your business actually works: what you sell, where you are incorporated, where your customers are, what you process in a month, and what happened with your last provider. We read it the way an underwriter would, and we tell you which payment partners could plausibly take it on — or that none of them can, if that is the honest answer.
That is the whole of our role. Being precise about it matters more in this industry than in most, because the gap between what people promise high-risk merchants and what they deliver is where the damage happens.
What we are not
We are not a payment gateway, a payment service provider, an acquirer or a merchant account provider. We never hold, receive or move your money or your customers’ money. We do not collect or verify your documents. We do not decide whether you are accepted.
Those steps belong to the payment partner, who deals with you directly and applies their own underwriting. Nothing on this site is an approval, a pre-approval or a promise of one.
Why an independent layer is worth having
A high-risk merchant looking for processing usually does the same thing: applies to five or six providers at once and waits. Most of those applications were never going to work — wrong sector, wrong jurisdiction, wrong volume band — and each rejection makes the next application harder to place, because underwriters see the history.
We work the problem from the other end. We read your profile the way an underwriter will, tell you where it is weak before anyone else sees it, and put it in front of a partner only when there is a reason to think it fits. That is worth something to you, and it is worth something to the partner, which is why the partner pays us rather than you.
How we decide where a file goes
Every enquiry is read by a person. Behind that person is a set of written rules recording what each partner has told us in writing: which sectors they have refused, which they are actively looking for, and what volume range makes commercial sense on their route.
Those rules carry a version and a date, so that a decision taken today stays explainable in six months when a partner’s policy has changed. And they are deliberately incapable of producing an approval. The most favourable answer our system can give is potentially suitable, because the decision that matters is not ours to make.
Where we are today
PayHighRisk began as a set of WooCommerce payment plugins. That chapter is closed — the plugins are no longer sold — because the tool was never the hard part. Merchants bought the integration and still could not get an account to plug it into.
The network is what PayHighRisk is now, and it is deliberately small: a short list of partners we have actually spoken to, whose stated criteria we have written down, rather than a directory of logos.
We would rather tell you we have no route for your business than introduce you to a partner who was never going to take it.
Who publishes this site
